Cressida Cowell is pretty much one of my favourite authors. She is also the author that has written around 18 books. She has written a series of nine books (so far) called How To Train Your Dragon. Her most recent one was How to Steal a Dragon's sword.

How to Steal a Dragon's Sword review:

It starts off with the main character, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock The Third, halfway up the cliff face of Angry Mountain and then...a dragon rebellion comes to attack them, called the Dragon Furious - a league of dragons making global extermination of all humans. Then they meet Flashburn, a know-it-all swordfighter – he's the best in the Archipeligo!(Where they live.) They're supposed to do a swordfighting class for a month! But it isn't what they thought it would be. They got into the swordfighting castle but something was very wrong – nobody was there!!!

It is a gripping fantastic story with excitement, glory, shame, secrecy, fear, enjoyment laughter... and guess what? That is only the beginning.

Warning – it is a to-be-continued book, so read the next book to find out what happens next?

If you want to read the Hiccup books, here's the right order:

  1. How to train your dragon
  2. How to be a pirate
  3. How to speak dragonese
  4. How to cheat a dragon's curse
  5. How to twist a dragon's tale
  6. A hero's guide to deadly dragons
  7. How to ride a dragon's storm
  8. How to break a dragon's heart
  9. How to steal a dragon's sword
  10. How to steal a dragon's sword, part 2, is still to be published.
