The 9th book about Riley Jensen, the shape-shifting werewolf and vampire cross-breed is through with death – causing it, solving it, surviving it – and she’s going to make changes in her life to ensure death won’t touch her easily again. Then bodies of ex-cons start turning up after being horrifically executed and Riley reluctantly takes on the case to hunt down their killers.

Then an enemy from her past turns up who is determined to take away everything that is important to her: her lover, her twin, her job, her identity. Riley ends up in a tiny town in the Australian outback with her memory gone. A man claiming to be her brother looks after her, all her id proclaim her to be Hanna London, and then the bodies start turning up, horrifically slaughtered.

This is another exciting adventure where Riley discovers the bad guys and dispenses justice. Sadly, this is the last book in the Riley Jensen: Guardian series, but it answers all the loose ends and wraps things up nicely. The bad guys that have been revealed throughout the series are taken care of and Riley’s future looks to be a new adventure.
